Posterior downgraft will fix deep bite?

Tiitle, if not then what would? I'm getting bimax btw so tell me if there's anything they can do during it to fix it. My surgeon says the back of my palate is high up so he is giving me a posterior downgraft (also to allow for ccw), i'm getting an anterior vertical impaction too. Surely this will fix it, right? Or am I a fucking retard?

I really wish I could answer this, it's a great question. But I just don't know anything about it. It sounds right based on my limited understanding, but I wouldn't bet the farm on my 2 cents. Hope you get an answer though, I'll be following.
