I measured the mid
Below the head its just slightly thinner but the base is at least 2cm thinner

Interesting, the thinnest part for me is just below the head and like you the midshaft is the thickest and then the base is thinner as well. At least 2cm would mean an almost inch, so around 6 then? Still massive either way.
