Probably not broadly speaking. Even if in theory indoor tanning is healthier you are relying on the fly by night tanning company to put the correct (expensive) bulbs in the machine as opposed to the cheap crappy bulbs, and changing the bulbs timely. But when indoor tanning you can cover your face and arms , they get enough UV already. That is what I do.
