I stopped Reta cold-turkey a few months ago and recently I have noticed that when I fast for a while (12+ hrs), I get EXTREMELY tired and sometimes feel like passing out, especially when standing up. I also crave sugar even though my stomach is full.

I suspect that I am going hypoglycemic which is causing the aforementioned symptoms. I also suspect this may be due to my glucagon receptors becoming desensitized following Reta usage, resulting in insufficient glucose being released following glucagon receptor activation, and/or insufficient glucagon production. This is just a theory, since I haven’t measured my actual blood glucose consistently enough to know.

Has anyone else experienced these symptoms (tiredness and lightheadedness after long fasts) following a Reta cycle?

"Yes, low iron can cause sugar cravings even when you are physically full. [1]"

I already hit like 3x my rda for iron every day

Perhaps I am not absorbing it properly?

In any case I got a blood test on Friday which included iron so hopefully I find out about that soon.

maybe, but on second thoughts it doesnt seem like iron cuz theres no correlation.

maybe a receptor was disturbed or just got inhibited? idk ab glucagon tho.
in my eyes it is prob low blood sugar, but dehydration/electrolytes/orthostatic hypotension are likely too

so yeah just try drink water n eat pickles or sum shit idfk.
but ya the blood tests will tell u everything u need to know so no point listening to a 67iq tard on org
