ok so for most people ptosis is caused by weakness in levator palpebrae superioris muscle — couldn’t someone just use EMS to stimulate the muscle and deadass just fix ptosis that way?

you want to stimualte your muscle every time you want to open your eyes?

no I’m saying maybe throughout the day someone could use an EMS device and target the upper eyelid region in order to stimulate and activate the levator palpebrae muscle

which therefore would fix the underlying issue of ptosis (the weakening of the levator palpebrae superioris muscle)

bump, has anyone ever thought/tried this? would it work in practicality?

People did talk about it but I’d recommend doing it yourself with a comprehensive video evidence. I’ll tag you in the thread

preciate it, in the thread you sent I found an Amazon link for a 32$ EMS device. reviews sounded good, I’ll put 2 pads on under each of my eyes (orbicularis oculi) and record if it produces a straight eyelid after sometime, and I’ll also put it on my levator palpebrae on the eye with ptosis to see if it does anything. I’ll take comprehensive evidence

Please do so. Also read whole thread. Did I tag you in the thread with the guy that had some strange side effects? Btw I’d recommend not pure phptographic evidence since most people don’t believe it enough so measurements by a doctor would be great but you do you. Tag in any thread you reply. Good luck also, the guy says that you should get a $60 ems device with multiple electrodes so you do you.

here is a study with rabbits that had an electrode implant idk if it is similar
