Lol, in my country, back in the communist era, they sometimes interviewed people on the streets asking them what they think about our ruler, any answer besides praising him was immediately viewed as suspicious and the secret police could come for a visit to interrogate a person who refused to answer for example...

No, Romania...
There was a very strong cult of personality for our dictator - Ceausescu, his portrait was everywhere, he was always on tv, radio, in books, magazines, newspapers, kids would learn in school all about him and his accomplishments, there were huge parades and shows where people sang and said poems to praise him, etc., it was very much like in North Korea.

I used to think these people who live under communism were dumb,
thinking a dictator is a hero.
Now I see they have no choice
one wrong word about this "hero" and their entire family faces prison

they are dumb in the sense they let communists take control of the country and many of them were probably happy until it was their turn to get disappeared. many such cases

He was based tbh sad they executed him i saw a video of his last speech the other day it was pretty sad he was trying to hype you niggers up but you didnt say anything🙁

Most people don't understand the true nature of communism until they experience it firsthand. They often hear that rich people are evil and take away your money, and they believe it without question
