i have had this theory for a while and it is in my opinion what causes so many people that act ND, but do not have severe diagnosed neuro-divergence. From minimal research online, and a chunk of research in the real world(talking to ND people at my school lmao) I have arrived at a conclusion that small negative experiences in childhood permanently change personality in severe ways, yes i know you might think I'm just talking about trauma and that's basic information but I mean more like being socially isolated as a child can lead to expressions of ASPD traits without actually having ASPD, due to ingrained behaviours. this sort of childhood dictates your personality for your entire life which is why being popular or good looking even before puberty will make or break your life, having a happy childhood with a good social life will increase social behaviours permanently, and having a bad social life in childhood will permanently ingrain antisocial traits. i theorize that unlike trauma after puberty, this sort of behaviour actually effects how the brain forms, causing traits that resemble autism, aspd, ocd, and many others. what are your thoughts on this, and yes, I know this is mostly common information but i plan to make an effort post on this idea and more soon.
