To begin with, what is Pregabalin?
Pregabalin is an anticonvulsant & nerve pain medication. Often prescribed to treat epilepsy, fibromyalgia, and several other types of nerve pain. It has also been used to treat people with generalized anxiety disorder.
How does it work?
It functions but calming down overactive nerve cells in the central nervous system in order to reduce pain and anxiety. For anxiety specifically, It down-regulates hyper-active neural networks, stopping the brain from dumping excessive survival and stress chemicals (like norepinephrine) that drive panic and tension.
Pregabalin lowers psychological and social inhibitions by quieting the hyper-active brain networks responsible for fear, overthinking, and threat detection.
Why even bother taking Pregabalin?
To become low inhib.
Me personally was never diagnosed as neurodivergent, not really socially awkward, not until recently as noticed by close friends of mine that I sort of struggle talking to people I have yet to meet. I definitely overthink often and would consider myself to be high inhib. Now taking in Pregabalin into consideration, it basically makes you low inhib, all the social anxiety you might've thought you had simply stops existing, I never was much of a drinker because it's too many calories and I'm on reta so it'd be stupid to drink, but when Pregabalin comes into play it mimics the effects of being drunk. I can say based off personal experience that its literally the same effects as getting drunk and personally it's better than alcohol. You become increasingly more social and you don't bother others with the bad breath you can contract from alcohol, you're not consuming any calories at all compared to the hundreds if not thousands you do when drinking. Because pregabalin is not an opioid, amphetamine, or cannabinoid, standard 5-panel or 10-panel workplace drug tests completely ignore it. To detect it, someone must intentionally order a specialized or expanded toxicology panel specifically looking for the drug, so If you get pulled over you won't fail a breathalyzer or cotinine test. You also won't endure the negative side effects of drinking such as brain damage, cancer, liver disease, heart disease, digestive damage, mental illness, immune suppression, and addiction.
Concentration? Tolerance/Personal experience/opinions on it?
My Indian Doctor gave me the option of pills with different concentrations, it was 75mg and 150mg. I chose 150mg.
My first time was with friends over at my house at around like 2pm, I wanted to try it out, took 1 pill, and to be honest I simply felt sleepy, by 5pm I had fallen asleep and took a nap.(Pregabalin makes you sleepy by acting as a system wide brake on the central nervous system, which directly slows down brain activity) I'd recommend an energy drink to stay awake during the party. Not like you're going to fall asleep mid function but it certainly helps, plus there are no negative side effects of mixing caffeine and pregab.
My second experience was at a big party and I took 600mg (4pills), now this was quite similar to feeling drunk, I was more social with random people I've never talked to, my words were just flowing, I'll admit I seemed a bit clumsy as I was struggling to walk straight, but nonetheless I was not my normal awkward self. Now I did wake up a bit hungover from this experience but taking a nap simply did the trick and I was fine. (It has a half life of around 5-7 hours)
My 3rd attempt was a successful one as I took 300mg before a party and ended up getting play that night.
I have noticed that my tolerance has built up, the very next day after the slay I took 300mg to a function and although the party was underwhelming, I felt as if it didn't hit as it usually did, I was able to drive back home and to the party quite easily.
Personally, I see this as an exponentially better alternative to alcohol, an amazing way to become low inhib and slaymaxx.
