premolar removal

Went to the ortho today for severe overcrowding on the upper jaw and a more mild overcrowding on the lower jaw. He told me that there's no way that my teeth could get straight without removing 2 of the upper premolars. I've done some research and seen the before and after pictures and they look horrible. Faces look more sunken. Would that be the case for me or am I worrying about nothing? I have a well projected maxilla but im still concerned for my side profile

it does affect. to what extent who knows. the faces get a bit horsier from my understanding.
