Pressured into premolar extractions

I have an overbite and my orthro says that i need to get all premolars extracted, the problem is the scans said that my chin is literally recessed so i dont understand why they would try to make my upper palate recessed too, im being pressured into making the decision fast and doing it as „theyve been doctors for years and know what theyre doing“, what do i do ?

Its entirely your choice if you fix your molars you can get a bimax or a jaw implant surgery

For some cases extractions can make you look better because you are too old for real skeletal change. The can make both jaws equally reccessed so you can have a better bite and look more even overall. Obviously it isn't ideal but it might be the only thing you can do.

"mid teens" is a very vague age. Be more specific. Also here is a good outcome of premolar extractions. Notice how neither the maxilla or mandible move forward or backward.

you should create space expading your palate instead of extracting

ask for another doctors second opinion and depending on what they say and your budget spend or save
