let's say something happens with a probability of 0.1. this doesn't give me any real information about whether it will happen or not. you could say it is unlikely to happen but then it could just happen anyway.

ok, then you could interpret it as out of 10 trials the event will happen once on average. but I could run 10,000 trials and the event could occur every single time. there is no lower bound of what probabilities are possible in the universe. even events with a probability of zero can occur.

and look at some of the events that have occurred. for example the exact creation of the earth allowing for the development of life or you as an individual coming into existence as a result of the actions/decisions of millions of years of ancestors. these events are mind-boggling unlikely yet they happen anyway.

I dont get why its ’worthless’ just because it isn’t right 100 % of the time ...

no it can't, it doesn't predict anything. just represent personal beliefs about outcomes (worthless)

something either happens or it doesn't and you are just making up things in the middle that don't exist
