But yeah this trend is visible everywhere in europe, north america, even in shitholes. Its so hard to even get a tradie here in Netherlands. Most of them are Polish or Romanian Boomers that are only here for a few weeks and then return home after moneymaxxing.

Genuine status can only be applied to 'famous' people, much like the kinds you mentioned. If you are recognizable from something established people will presume you to be important, a status halo affect. Whereas a title per say is nothing special. You will however be regarded in a positive light if you are successful in a traditional competative field. People might feel resentment towards you but they will still value your accomplishments.
