Because it isn't. Progesterone is present in both men and women, concentrations of progesterone before puberty is the same in boys and girls. Puberty kickstarts the aging process and the slightly higher concentration in women is maybe why they live longer. Progesterone is extremely highly concentrated in the brain.

You wont notice anything with preg , as it gets converted to dhea which depending on your constitution gets converted to estrogen or test and since prog and estrogen are opposite in most of their actions you will probably not feel anything. Pure progesterone will definitely make you feel something especially when taken with vitamin E (try taking preg with E it might work but usually only older people feel preg as it is a direct substrate of cholestrol)
