He was aloof because he didnt feel he could act alpha and be domineering because he has a softer face than the rest. His confidence was very much knocked when not one girl stepped forward at the start
He is also a doctor and this nice guy y facade ia hard to lose once you are fed back from society with it
If he was better looking he would have had the confidence to act masculine
