How aesthetically significant of a change is a 4-5mm reduction in proptosis from orbital decompression?

How much of an effect does it have on the orbital vector?

Its hard to visualize how 4-5mm setback looks like

Are u knowledgable on custom implants by chanse
Whats your question
If it helped I'd appreciate if u could mark as a solution( ☑ not the thumb ) ❤️

I don't see it having much effect on orbital vector, if the eyes are bulging that fix alone would be a good ascension, however this surgery is botch heavy. I don't expect any other actual responses but I hope we get some people on here never have surgical knowledge anymore

Why might it not have effect on orbital vector?

My eyes are like if i look kinda downwards then my orbital vector is positive but if i look forward or up then It hollows and gets negatice

The eyes would have to be poking downward an insane amount, I'm not sure what you mean without seeing it

Wat u mean boi

Maybe its cuz my eyelid doesnt have very good tension or something that causes it to look worse when im looking up or forward

Cuz when i look upwards my lower eyelid doesnt rly move

make sure you book your orbital decompression in with dr taban.

Whats the upper end/max of anterior projection possible from full browridge implants? If someone has a pretty flat one before and is going for an aggressive added projection

Also how much mms of lateral width could they add?

And due to the concentration of nerves and stuff there, is it not possible to add much projection to the medial supraorbital rim/glabella? Or is similar added projection as lateral rim possible but lowering isnt possible in the middle?

Also is a midface implant super necessary alongside the orbital decompression + cantho and spacer grafts? For fixing lower eyelid?

Ngl im not super worried abt having eyebag/hollowing under my eyes, it looks more masculine if the eye is set deep enough and browridge is strong enough

brow ridge custom implants typically add between 8 to 15 millimeters of anterior projection at their thickest point, depending on the thickness of the the existing frontal bone and the amount of soft tissue available, for lateral width generally can expand the outer edge of the brow ridge by about 3 to 6 millimeters per side

for the last thing significant projection is possible using custom milled stuff, but it is limited by the nerve atery muscle. can build out the projection significantly in the middle, but lowering the bone level or reshaping the actual bony contour downward in the glabellar region is restricted

Might it be better to have a higher bodyfat % when getting the implants then? Since there could be thicker skin/soft tissue there

And once healed enough just simply lean back down again
