I saw a video ob riktok saying that as long as you consume around 0.5g/kg you will build muscle and that more protein dosent do much. I did some further research and found studies saying the same. Although information on this is hard to come by with all the ”bro science” in the gym community. Can anyone enlighten me?

The rule of needing to have a minimum amount of protein such as 1b per lb of bodyweight comes from where muscle growth is maximilized.

Where you get the most out out of your protein before that extra protein just turns into carbs for a last resort.

You can build muscle on less protein it will just not be your full potential.
