Having a protracted ramus (a ramus that slopes forward) is indicative of good forward growth.
Examples:
Protracted ramus:
Straight disgusting square ramus:
If your face grows forwardly properly it pulls your jaw forward, elongating the mandible and protracting the ramus.
I've seen some face raters say that having a protracted ramus is a flaw when it is quite the opposite. There's nothing more yucky than a Minecraft Steve ramus.
I might be biased since I have a protracted ramus and forwardly grown side profile but tell me if I'm wrong.
I also believe that the ideal gonial angle is 120° and anything lower than 115° becomes too boxy.
