When asking users to rate an individual, I suggest making a poll for numbers 1 to 8, like the ones shown in this thread. You'll get way more responses because it's easier to vote than to comment a rating. It's also easier for OP to see what the majority of votes are, so OP can get a better idea of what his looks score is.
