I don't know if I agree that equal thirds is optimal, I feel like a shorter forehead is more aesthetic.

What haircut is best for equal thirds? I'm thinking of getting a fade with a curly top or maybe slightly fringe

I couldn't tell you until i see your full face, but equal thirds tend to be square face usually, quiff is universally good for that face shape
