Hi, I’m 16 years old.
When I was younger, I used to get really intense leg pain at night and in the morning — especially in my feet. It felt like something was “twisting” or stretching inside. Sometimes it was so strong I’d wake up, flip myself upside down, and try to tuck my legs somewhere to make it stop. This went on for years, but stopped about 4–5 months ago.
Now, over the past 3 days, that exact same sensation came back — this time in both my feet and my shins. It feels just like it did during my childhood growth spurts. So I think I’ve entered another growth phase.
I have a slightly recessed lower jaw, and my CT scans show that my maxilla is lower than my mandible. I’m planning to get BiMax surgery in the future.
My question is: is there anything I can do right now, while I’m still growing, to improve my facial structure and looks?
For example:
• Tongue chewing (mew/tongue strength)?
• Hard mewing?
• Eating tough foods?
• Or any other effective methods?
I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who had similar experiences or made serious improvements at 16 before surgery. Thanks in advance.
