that way girls can stalk you and send your profile to their friends. you gain soft power. I did that in high school, it works.
When I posted stories so many girls (and gays) with fake accounts who weren't following me were watching my stories.

Why is it that private profiles have better chances of getting followers?

concept from self-proclaimed social media experts who say that if ur prifle is private people will follow to see ur content, but if ur public then people will just look at your content then forget about you. i don't know how this aligns with social circles though... I'd disagree and believe that if ur private then people will just not bother.
