“Life span was also increased (p < .05) in the CR lard mice compared to animals consuming either the CR fish or soybean oil diets. These results indicate that dietary lipid composition can influence life span in mice on CR, and suggest that a diet containing a low proportion of PUFAs and high proportion of monounsaturated and saturated fats may maximize life span in animals maintained on CR.”

Intriguing because fish oil is commonly recommended for longevity, and saturated fat is advised against.

No; the ray peat diet is far too high in fructose.

“However, most studies to date have been focused on glycation, the nonenzymatic reaction between glucose and proteins, because glucose is the most abundant sugar in blood and is elevated in diabetes. Glucose however, is among the least reactive of sugars. In vitro studies suggest that fructose, compared with glucose, is a much more potent initiator of the Maillard reaction”

An unprocessed, low fructose, low PUFA, low calorie diet is ideal for longevity

the most important part of the ray peat diet is

1. do nothing theory, never do anything unless you feel like it. Avoid people with bad vibes

2. Either having friends + sex or the equivalent anti stress and dopamine increase drugs

3. Knowing how body works and how to respond to changes

No sugar diet is bedt
Carbohydrates are good as long as mainly glucose and in moderation

Some fructose from fruit is fine but ideally 4-8 g/day or less of fructose

Is no sugar diet bad ?

can I eat cake/biscuit from time to time ?

Technically glucose (from so-called “carbs” like rice or wheat) is sugar.

No fructose diet is ideal. some glucose is good

Cake and biscuit are bad because processed
