pumpfake by zoomers how would you react

so the other day I was walking home after getting some groceries and came across a pack of high zoomers
one of them did a sort of pump fake where someone tries to make you flinch, I didn't flinch
I laughed/grinned and said "you're lucky I'm not 10 years younger" and they seemed scared after

was this a good reaction?
how would you have reacted?

(saw them do this again today to a tall bbc who just called them battyman and said he will kill them if they do it again, and this high t response made me feel like I handled it incorrectly)
