I don't know you so I can't give you a perfect answer but maybe the attitudes of this forum have changed your mind to believe women are above you. If you place them on a pedestal then it's definitely going to be harder. As for it not being something you think about, you have to think about it. If you so desperately want a jb, you must think about socialising and become good at it. Lots of people here frame it as though you must be socialising from a young age to have a chance. Whilst it may be easier that way. It is not set in stone or absolutely required.
If your society you live in is holding you back, and you cannot leave it, then you must work with what you have or change your approach.
