I think it might be heavy and absorb into the skin too much and cause it to look worse.

Vaseline doesn’t absorb into skin because of its molecular makeup being too large

Either way it will make that area greasy and heavy. Its even worse if it doesn't absorb because it will look oily and gross. Whenever my face gets oily my undereye area looks worse and when I wash my face it looks a lot better

That’s why you do it at night and take it off in the morning and if your skin is already too oily you shouldn’t do it because then the oil will just be trapped under the Vaseline and the oil your skin produce will clog your pores not the Vaseline

Best routine is

Cleanser

Any creams you use (caffeine, melatonin, tret, vit c)

Moisturizer HA

Then Vaseline to keep the creams from coming off as easily when you go to bed and keeping your skin moisturized

Vaseline blocks pores. Will probably give you milia (tiny white bumps under the eye). Use a thick moisturiser instead
