@edodalic29 i bought matrixyl 3000 after knowing you use it
@enchanted_elixir and after seeing your post recommending it i bought the minimalist one
my question is that i read somewhere that products over 500 daltons don't penetrate and get in the skin and matrixyl is 700-800 daltons so does that mean it's useless?

Yes, its efficacy is limited since it's over 500 daltons, you might get passive diffusion, but it’s negligible.

Keep in mind that the palmitoyl fatty acid chain attached to it will enhance its lipophilicity and might improve its penetration

(It won't let me attach an image for some reason, so I advise u to read the study)

In addition, there are studies proving that it works

I wouldn't say it's completely useless, but there are many better options out there that would make it completely redundant

If u need more help, pm me brah

I never knew about the matrixyl thing but I’ve used it over time and it definitely works, but use sunscreen to preserve its effects.

What what would u say is the best option for these collagen benefits then? I currently use taz everyday and thinking about adding topical estriol.

No need to add estriol since they're not synergistic for collagen production
I'd say just stick with taz
If u want, u can maybe combine it with microneedling

Yeah I'll def be doing microneedling. Gonna cop the derminator soon. Does estriol not provide it's own benefits though? I saw it listed on aryan incels skin mega thread with this study listed:

Yes, it does, but I don't think it should be combined with Taz in my personal opinion ofc

If u take a look at this study, it showed that taz was less effective in people who used oral estrogen
Now that does not mean it will make topical estroil less effective
till now, there haven't been any studies testing taz + topical estroil, so we can't be sure if it's effective or not
ig for now, start with taz + microneedling if ur still not happy with the results, then I would suggest u add topical estroil
