question about CCW bimax

I understand that the mandibular plane angle gets lowered and that the mandibular body rotates, but what about the ramus? Is example 1 or 2 correct?

2 is the right mental model, I guess. The ramus doesn't tip back with the body; they try to keep the ramus position essentially the same. You can change the ramus's inclincation if you mal-position the proximal segments, but those are from complications not the actual goal. Lol.

The actual visual change in ramus verticality or whatever is mostly just reflected from the decreased gonial angle, not an intentional backward lean of the ramus.

Thanks man! also do you know if the ramus changes its tilt / shape depending on how you develop? Or is it just the bone thickness that gets affected?
