Why would regular pasta be unhealthier than it's whole wheat counterpart?

Why would regular pasta be unhealthier than it's whole wheat counterpart?
Whole wheat is made of the entire grain which has more nutrients, and it takes longer for the body to break it down because it hasnt been already pre broken down like refined wheat. So for one cup of whole wheat pasta, it has less carbs than white pasta, more nutrients, and your body takes longer to break it down snd use it, so it is not as easily converted to fat like the carbs in white pasta

On most things i've switched over to whole wheat except pasta. I remember vaguely trying it once when i was younger and hating the taste of it.

but i gotta pay homage to italian roots somehow

dont eat pasta, seriously. eat something like sweet potato or white rice instead

Not even the whole wheat? Cause ngl i can make some bomb ass, ASS SLAPPING meals with it

you wont die but its not healthy for sure. sweet potato is a better carb option

thanks schat. pasta is still something i dont eat very often tbh. usually it's either potato (normal or sweet) or rice, sometimes quinoa.
And if im feeling fancy some flatbread for carbs (for lunch) but thats usually either rye(roggenbrood) or sourdough

I eat buckwheat pasta , rice and oatmeal tbh . I only eat wheat if it s in biscuits or desserts

thanks schat. pasta is still something i dont eat very often tbh. usually it's either potato (normal or sweet) or rice, sometimes quinoa.
And if im feeling fancy some flatbread for carbs (for lunch) but thats usually either rye(roggenbrood) or sourdough
fermented plant foods are your best option. so that means bread is ok to consume. pasta is pretty toxic as well from all the agro chems in it. its ok to consume sometimes and a good recipe would be something with a lot of dairy and meat in it, like mac n cheese or carbonara with extra meat

I usually use it for carbonara tbh.
also ngl switched to butter for cooking/baking majority of my things instead of olive oil

Cheese is good dairy right btw?
yes its really good for vit K which is hard to get from other food sources. also a range of other nutrients that are good + healthy fats. make sure its grass fed/ organic though (should be for everything if you have the money)
 
It contains the entire component of the grain (the bran, germ, and endosperm), retains a higher nutritional value, prevents a spike in glucose, has a lower glycemic index, and is higher in both soluble and insoluble fibre.

Calorifically, they are almost the same - but nutritionally, they differ.
