Question braces

Can braces make you look uglier even though theyll make ur teeth better? Im supposed to get braces soon for slightly crooked teeth and minor overbite but im rethinking. I cant really imagine how would i look. Should i still go for it? Maybe possible bimax afterwards? And are damon braces really the best option?

They can but not always some peoples lips get pushed forward

theres a braces phase before bimax so if u plan on bimax you should get a different treatment of braces to get you ready for bimax.
your only concern should be ascending and fixing your teeth,not being worried about how braces look like a little bitch. tho braces can actually look good and push lips a bit to create a fuller look. choose good color and keep them shiny clean

I have big lips i worry little how id look with them but im just thinking about my jaw and how it would change my face structure, it doesnt make drastic change if its just small overbite or?

Thanks ill mentoin it to my teeth doctor. I just dont wanna downgrade, he told me my teeth accomodated to bite normal even though they arent completely straight plus the overbite so idk

the lips change is very minor you wont have duck lips or whatever. from your question i see that you need to heavily research and learn about this whole braces,jaws,bimax subject. braces barely change face structure and they wont fix your bones. plus how old are you

I know they dont change bones thats why the bimax, and im 17. Im looking through it

start researching and dont rely on chat gpt cause he will give a bunch of misinformation.
orthodontists have zero knowledge on bones and will do anything for you rmoney so your best bet is consulting with an actual maxillofacial surgeon which will tell you all you need and exactly what you should get and when.

It will only matter for the year or 2 that you have them it will be 100% worth it, I had braces and my teeth were completely straight afterwards. If you do get them PLEASE wear your retainer after you get them off and keep the retainer clean. I didn’t wear it and my bottoms reverted

Braces or fine as long as you don’t get extractions but yes you will look a little worse but when they come off you will look better
