I started taking fin at 19 because I have death tier balding genes. I don’t regret it at all because my hair looks amazing while my brother/ cousins are losing it.

Anyway I believe I stunted my beard growth by starting fin so early. Other fam members can grow a nice beard I barely even have anything at all. My questions is: if I were to stop fin eventually, would my beard begin to grow like it would have if I never took fin or did I permanently ruin my chance at a good facial hair

fin blocks your type II 5ar enzyme which is basically present only in your scalp and prostate, barely blocking 50% of your scalp DHT production.

beard is mostly testosterone. Even if it was DHT, those organs (hair follicles) would require a constant supply of said hormones to keep growing. That's why troons lose their body hair when blocking their androgens. Also you were too old already. Maby if it was an actual teen taking dut since 14 or so.

I said beard is mostly testosterone and that's why you don't fucking lose it when you're blocking theorically all your DHT production. DHT may trigger something but definitely doesn't seem necessary for the function of those structures in the body, either way that's irrelevant for your case because you are NOT blocking all your DHT while on fin, you're barely blocking half of it in your SCALP

My beard grows faster when on cycle. It just makes logical sense that the more androgens in your bloodstream/ the more AR is activated, the more beard growth you‘ll get and vice versa (i.e. less DHT because of Fin, less AR activation, less beard growth). How significant the difference on/off Fin is, I don’t know

potentially yes but I believe those drugs are made considering normal physiological levels of hormones, so you should be fine. Ofc fin won't be enough to protect someone taking huge amounts of steroids, not even dut maybe. Also, testosterone itself is not nearly as bad as DHT. In fact, having low test can actually induce hairloss from what I've read.
