God doesn't give you everything you want immediately. Why? What does it mean? Does it means He wants us to want His-Self over His creation instead?

If God readily gave you everything you wanted, does that mean He blessed you? Or will you even worship Him then?

Allah holds back to give you what you desire so that you may be drawn closer to Him and learn trust, patience, and dependence on Him. He wants your heart to long for Him and notthe worldly things more. If He gives you everything you desire all at once, you might forget Him, love the gifts and not the Giver, and forget the deeper purpose of worship.

Is this your own spiritual realization? I'm impressed with this answer.

Another question: what if Allah never answers a prayer?

Allah delays what we want because He knows what’s best for us and wants us to turn to Him, not just His gifts. If He gave us everything instantly, many would forget Him, not worship Him. True faith is shown through patience and trust

prophet PBUH said

“There is no Muslim who makes a dua but Allah gives him one of three things:
He either answers it immediately, stores it for the Hereafter, or removes a harm from him instead.”

If god didnt answer, he gave you something else (removed harm)

Or he is saving the reward

Or he is testing your patience and sincerity

But we already live in a material world, where we get what we want sometimes.

Patience? Having an orgasm isn't patience. It's "wham, bam, thank you ma'am".

Allah is still present when I do the deed.

Sex is the greatest material/physical pleasure.

Only Allah knows when He will give us something.

If Allah doesn't give you something you really want permanently, will you still worship Him without any difference/change of heart?

Could the test be for a 1000 years?

I don’t understand this question

If I want something from Allah. What if I have to pray to Him for a thousand years before I finally get it? Almost no one has the patience to wait for a 1000 years.

It always depends what you are seeking. Give me an example
