How hard is it to maintain vs getting there in the first place?

Do you have any specific daily habits in place to help you maintain this leanness?

skip breakfast, dont keep snacks at home (only food that needs to be cooked), drink soda when you get mild hunger

Getting there is subjective as everyone is at a different starting point, don’t underestimate it. Trying to maintain when you have a social life is very difficult. Strategic eating, use of coffee instead of a meal etc. 12-14 is easier to maintain but also you have to watch what you eat or you can relapse hard. 10 is not easy, especially natty. You’ll also look skinny in clothes if natty, no way around it.

appetite is to some extent genetic (or acquired via other manners), for some it will be easy to maintain, for others borderline torture - depends on where your equillibrium is

I’ve never been 10 or even 12% bodyfat. But I’ve noticed the biggest struggle to my weight loss journey is going out and being social. Eating with friends, going clubbing etc. when you’re in the habit of actively losing weight and go to the club to try and slay, you hit McDonald’s or some other fast food joint afterwards and your gains for the week are fucked especially if you have bad metabolism. That’s at least what happens to me.

Its genetics for most people maintaining this level of bodyfat year round is giga hard.

I maintain about 12% BF, maybe I was at 10% BF for half a day 10 years ago. Only 1 guy in 1,000 has the genetics to maintain 10% BF natty.

I cook for myself at home. I use a very low amount of ingredients. Like one meal is only cooked ground beef + cooked frozen vegetables. Scrambled eggs + wholemeal bread. Hard cheese + raw vegetables. No salt, only a handful of spices. Nothing complicated. I count the calories. I sometimes use the cognitive enhancher nootropic modafinil, that kills my hunger as a side effect for the whole day. I do sports 4-5 times a week. Running, wall climbing, yoga, gym. I don't keep any snacks or any shit food at home. I lowered the quantity of food in one meal. I changed my mindset and I don't eat a meal to get super full, but know to stop eating when my hunger is gone, so I never eat til my stomach gets very full. When I go to the McDonalds with friends, I only order a smaller meal. When we get to eat pizza, I don't eat my whole pizza, but leave half or one-third for tomorrow. I only drink water and very rarely tea or coffee.

Make sure the calorie deficits are in fats or carbs. Protein is good. Bacon is not good in most cases since the pig is fed garbage food, eggs are similar although not quite as bad.

Just don't pig out on goyslop, so hard. I agree it's hard if you're a low impulse weak willed subhuman.

I feel fine at 12ish%, one time i stayed 10% for a month but i couldn’t do anything.

Literally just gym and sleeping, my dick didn’t work anymore and my hair started falling out quicker

its easy, I could maintain 7% eating 2.7/2.8 Kcals per day

Looking big in clothes is very overrated.

It might actually be bad because you would look like a gym rat and tryharding is not attractive. Imo it's best to be jacked but wear baggy clothes even if it hides a bit that you lift

Yes getting jacked is good, but you have to be lean and you have to pretend that you don't even go to the gym, and certainly don't be the retard that whips out meal prep when everyone is eating pizza

I am under 10% and have been around that for a little over a month.

Getting to it? Matter of where you start and how fast you want to get there. Lets say you start at 20% like most skinny fat dudes. At a decent diet of 12cal per lbs of body mass. It takes about 90 days to lose 10% of body fat. If you are extremely fat at 50% bf it would then take you a little under a year. But remember, 90 days at 12cal/lbs is 10% bf loss.

Trick is to do enough physical activity, weightlifting, walking, running, etc(boost metabolism). Eat as much protein as you can(will help hunger tremendously), count every calorie and write it down in excel. And most important do Dexa scans every 3 months, or galipers, to make sure you are on track with your goals. If counting is overwhelming, start by eating more protein and doing more activity. Also start looking at labels and figure out your maintenance. Here is a good calculator : https://tdeecalculator.net/

Maintaining at 10% is easy too, much easier than to get there, you still need to count, and go on micro diets of a few days if you've indulged. But its very doable.

10% is pretty easy, 8% is where it really start to get rough and below that is nightmare mode, almost impossible to maintain, your body will fight you every step of the way. This is well known in bodybuilding circle. I would also advise you to seek further knowledge from such circles. People around here are mostly larpers who are scared to take vitamin d3 supplements.

And as a final note on roids ; they do help a bit, they are amazing at helping you keep muscle on. But all in all they are pretty shit at helping you lose weight. If your goal is be skinny and you don't care about muscle, just do yourself a favor and skip them. There will always be time for TRT+ when you are older.

Play a sport, athletes have a hard time maintaining their weight during the season and are always losing despite eating a lot
Extreme diet restriction negatively effects your mental health, exercise positively effects it, and sport is way more fun and easier to stick with than a gym routine or doing a bunch of non-sport cardio
