I have one question for muslims on this forum because i know there are some of you in here.

From my understanding according to Islam, Judaism and Christianity were revealed to the people of those times however both got corrupted and changed. The order was Judaism, then Christianity and then finally Islam.

My question is, if Islam was kept uncorrupted and not changed, why couldn't god keep Christianity or Judaism uncorrupted? It probably would have prevented confusion and religious division.

That’s a good question. The Islamic answer is that Allah was always capable of preserving the previous scriptures, but preserving them forever was never His promise or purpose.

In Islam, the Torah and the Gospel were genuine revelations sent to specific prophets and specific nations for a limited period of time. They were not intended to be the final, universal message for all of mankind until the end of time. Because of that, Allah entrusted those communities with safeguarding their scriptures, and the Quran mentions that some people altered, concealed, or forgot parts of what had been revealed.

The Quran says:

“And because of their breaking of their covenant, We cursed them and made their hearts hard. They distort words from their proper places and have forgotten a portion of what they were reminded of.” (Quran 5:13)

It also says regarding the previous scholars:

“Indeed, We sent down the Torah… by which the prophets who submitted judged for the Jews… because they were entrusted with the protection of the Scripture.” (Quran 5:44)

The Quran, however, is different because it is the final revelation meant for all people until the Day of Judgment. Since there would be no prophet after Muhammad ﷺ, Allah Himself promised to preserve it:

“Indeed, it is We who sent down the Reminder, and indeed, We will surely preserve it.” (Quran 15:9)

So from the Islamic perspective, the corruption of previous scriptures was not because Allah was unable to preserve them. Rather, they were temporary revelations for particular peoples, while the Quran is the final universal revelation, so Allah guaranteed its preservation Himself.

As for confusion and religious division, Islam teaches that people have always been given free will. Even with perfectly preserved revelation, people can still reject it, misinterpret it, or divide among themselves. The existence of disagreement is therefore not evidence that God failed to preserve the truth, but part of the test of this life.

Because if nothing was corrupted then the followers of these religions(christianity and judaism) would think that the truth given to them is the one they should follow for the ends of times and they will not realise the context and norms of the time which could be bad

its like saying if winter is the better season why is the whole year not winter
