When your incisors are in contact, does your back molars touch each other or not? I saw a guy on reddit that provided a photo of his bite as shown in the picture below. You can see his back molars don't touch when his incisors are in contact and he has short face syndrome which he said was because of this gap.

no with sfs your back molars dont stay in contact unless you force it. your occlusional plane is neutral or somewhat nuetral, and your jaws end up being recessed in order to compensate.

Im actually that guy in the pic lol. I think the gap is part of the issue. Meaning the short face is due partly because of unerupted molars, but its also an issue of the maxilla being downroated and the mandible uproatated. Another reason for the short face is an underdevelopment of the mandible.

This (mine) is a deep bite case.

braces wont give you CW rotation and manibular movement. and maxilla downgrafting

Bimax might be the best solution for this. For me it's just so annoying when i bite, it's like my whole jaw slides, and hurts sometimes.

Wdym your jaws don't stay in contact unless you force it? Is edge to edge bite the best bite you could have?

im 15 and not all my molars have erupted yet, will my sfs get better when they do?

Wait what the fuck, my molars don't touch even when incisors are in contact, does this mean I have sfs?

Same thing happens to me, Its a malocclusion (posterior open bite)
Its one of the symptoms of sfs but just cause you have it doesnt mean you have sfs

I don't think I have sfs since my bite is normal, however my lower lip to chin is short, My face looks better when I jut downwards compared to others with sfs who jut their face forward.
