also (a lot of yapping i know) but another thing that completely changed my life was finally leaving a cult i was in since birth

my parents were jehovas witnesses, so as ever since being born i was forced into that "religion" aswell. but it can barely be called a religion, it's basically a joke. the religion has a few main people on top, people said that they'll sit next to god after armagedon because they're chosen or some shit like that. but these people are money hungry clowns, they've been caught being alcoholics and drug addicts multiple times but the jehovas witnesses refuse to acknowledge it because they're basically living in a cult.

you're prevented from having friends from the outside, having birthdays, celebrating Christmas, getting gifts, basically everything. Just to keep you brainwashed in the cult.

around the age of 13 i read a lot about it on the internet and reddit (i know) and realised just how fucked it is. i wrote to my dad that i can't keep living like this, and although it was very sad for him, he allowed me to quit.

i don't blame my dad for anything, similarly to me he was in brainwashed in this shit since his birth, hes a great man. but he won't ever understand the life hes living is miserable.

As a teenager, I learned a lot about such cults, but also about other Christian ones, which were perhaps more chill, because many children in my class at school or friends of mine had such religions, and they pushed them on me to convert me

So I'm glad you're okay now. Many of my friends, regardless of the argument, would end everything with "you'll see who's right after you die" or some dumb shit like that..
