Not every palate expander makes wonders if you already have decent width, it for sure can help with breathing problems. Depends on age. You would still need to wear braces after, and kind of ruining your teeth (considering they are perfect now) and have a possibility of experiencing relapse. Never wore braces myself, so can't tell you exactly. If you would make small turns and won't rush the process
