So i’m starting accutane next friday and i would like to ask people that have been on accutane some questions.
How long does it take to get better?
Is it true that it gets worse before it gets better?
Thanks

maybe you should have informed yourself about this before you bought it

Are you fucking retard? I said i’m starting it NEXT friday and i am trying to inform myself rn

Depends, sometimes you’ll notice change after only a week or two, sometimes it takes longer. You’ll likely be on treatment for up to 9 months depending on severity.
Just keep aquaphor on you to moisturize your face and lips, dryness is the main side effect

I was on 40mg daily for 5 months which ended in March of 2025. The first picture was my initial acne, the second just a single month into treatment, and the last being my final results.

1: On my dose improvements became noticeable in just a month, in just three months my acne was fully cleared.

2: No, your acne won't worsen on the medication, it'll only improve. The only drawback of the medication is your skin will be very dry during treatment, but this improves significantly within just a few weeks of your treatment ending but will take much longer to see further improvement, your skin will likely be drier than it was prior to accutane permanently.

Is it for the fat that’s in the milk or what? And if it is then doesn’t the fat only help if taken WITH the pill?
