Questions about expanders

Im 15 my maxilla is recessed not that bad tho but my palate is narrow and I have to get a second round of braces and before I get braces I was think of getting a 3 way expander for multiple areas of growth and I was wondering if it would make my nose straiter and what other benefits i get from it or alternatives that are better better for my looks
