So there are 3 basic body types as you may know. They are:

1. Mesomorph - standard "Chad" body type. Puts on muscle easily with minimal fat gain. Big boned with wide shoulders and a wide waist.
2. Ectomorph - "otter mode" body type. Usually either skinny or skinny with a little bit of muscle. Smaller bones, and smaller shoulder width.
3. Endomorph - a bulkier version of the "Chad" body type. Normally someone who puts on fat and muscle easily. Bigger bones, bigger waist, bigger everything.

Depending on which one you have you are going to want to follow the best training methods. This is not only to get you the best results, but it will make you look like you know what you are doing since you "look the part" Heres how to train each body type:

1. Mesomorph - bodybuilding, mens physique training, or any sport involving muscle mass (MMA, Boxing, football, sprinting)
2. Ectomorph - calisthenics, gymnastics, or any sport involving endurance (marathon running, specific marital arts like Thai kick boxing or karate, or cycling)
3. Endomorph - powerlifting, strongman, and other sports involving overall mass and power (heavyweight boxing, sumo wrestling if you want to bloat max, or professional eating for super fat people)

Midget is below 5 feet tall. Im not 5 feet tall.

youre hgh deficient, its not only your height but everything is small about you
Yeah but what does this have to do with the post I made. This is just about working out.

Shouldn't ectomorphs do more resistant?

You can, but you will get farther with endurance sports and more bodyweight stuff because its what your body was made for. Plus people are gonna judge you harshly for going to the gym and think you are an idiot even if you're not, just for the sole fact that you don't look like you take steroids.

I'm mesomorphic because of wrist size and bones but have metabolism of an ectomorph, because it's difficult for me to put on mass. Maybe that fades away with time

Train back and delts and nothing else
Back and deltoids are the most important body parts. This photo is 2 years old by the way.

Not sure then what you should do. But you'll know if you have the genetics, trust me.

People are gonna judge lanklets even outside the gym

Would bodyweight be able for gaining lean muscle (which should be the goal of ectos tbh to gain as much lean muscle as possible) as compared to resistance? I don't think so

Telling skinny people to do marathon running and fat people to do sumo is now considered gym maxing advice!:lul::lul:

Endomorphs are usually slow. Why do you recommend boxing for them which requires speed and stamina?

this is wrong. While you should do sports that complement your body type for maximum success, for an ideal physique you should heavily train the activities your body is not naturally good at. Ectomorphs should do a lot of resistance training and endomorphs should do cardio for an ideal lean and muscular physique. Ideally everyone should do a decent amount of cardio+a lot of strength training+eat a lot+sleep a lot

An ectomorph that focuses on long distance running will have a 0 smv anorexic body while a bloatmaxxing power lifter endomorph will have a slightly more smv but still non ideal body

Ectomorphs should focus on bodybuilding and lean bulking

Low IQ Thread tbh. Doing shit like marathons as an already skinny ectomorph will looksmin you even more. Instead you should focus on gaining as much muscle mass as possible.

If you are skinny with thin wrists and limbs you’re likely an ecto
If a endomorph lost weight and got skinny would he look like a ectomorph?

An endomorph would be of a stocky build. So even if they did lean down they would have decent muscle mass compounded by wider rib cage and thicker bones

Thread maybe should have been on the random. Its not just about looks, I made this for just being good at certain sports too.

High IQ. Endomorphs can't get down to low levels of bodyweight OR body fat. They just literally can't. Their body will start lowering its metabolism to re compensate.

Endomorph can get down to a low bodyweight but they can't sustain it
