Imo the biggest mistake alot of guys here including me make is not "staying in your lane", like guys trying to be seen as the center in every situation and so on. The problem is this will make people annoyed and if anything dislike you because you're NOT supposed to be in that position. Acting alpha only works if you're chad. If I try to be very talkative etc during work and annoy others, it'll only work against me. Meanwhile if I kinda stay in the background, do my job and go home everything goes "according to the plan". It's like the scenario running correctly

It's kinda the same as @disillusioned talked about regarding masculinity and so on.

There are also situations where everyone is just silent and you have this one guy that talks and cannot stay silent.

Usually, this guy is so anxious he cannot handle 10 seconds of pure silence. Hence why people get irritated
