So yesterday I posted about how I'm struggling to find jobs. I was lying about experience, but I just realised I gotta write cover letters more. So I did so, and now I have 3 interviews coming up. Only problem is that I said I got 1 year experience as a kitchen assistant, even though I've never done it before. How do I bullshit my way through this? I do have a reference (my dad is friends with this owner of a shop).

is kitchen assistant cooking or just wash up and stuff?

Get easy experience by working with your parents

is never a good idea to lie on your resume. You might get away with it in entry min wage level jobs, but try to not do it again because will bite you in the ass. Companies hire other companies to check your work history, if your employer finds out you lied about your experience they will most likely fire you with no explanation.

Say you worked as a kitchen assistant in prison or something, and shit was different there than in a regular restaurant's kitchen.

But why should they hire a company to check your work history after you already got employed?

Some companies require several background checks
