I just can't stand the utter cope that is that subreddit.
Like, people post 4-5 year difference and they just lost fat and tilted their head. That's it.
And the comments under posts of people that are not seeing improvements are like "Just keep mewing!!! Believe me, mewing will fix anything, you don't need DJS"

Mewing doesnt replace djs but it can prevent the relapse

Retard, relapse comes from condyles breaking down, mewing is utter cope when bone has fused.

And also the time when the risk of relapse is the highest meaning the forst 6 months before bone has grown you shouldnt even mew because it can fuck up the plates

What is the probability of this happening?
I have bimax planned in the near future

Not likely, but its multifactorial. But its fine for 99%

Whats the difference?
Its where they are placed, custom guides and planning makes you able to customize more stable plates and also hit the bone where the screws can sit tighter. Its generally in normal hospitals they bend plates on site snd have worse plates which makes it less stable and thats where the studies are from

What about relapse years after surgery

Some degree of relapse is inevitable but you’ll almost certainly be in a much better place than before surgery. There’s a hierarchy of unstable movements which are most liable to relapse.

Your bones will decay with age, thats just how it is. Canine fossa disappears the jaw will lose some mass. But when the bones fuse after a bimax then it will not relapse apart from if the condyles breaks down. Mewing only works and have a effect while the bones a growing. Even if proper posture with tongue on the palate should be ypur natural position, bit if you dont have wide enough palate and your palate enough forward which it probably wont be from bimax and mse alone for many. Then mewing is worthless. But yea when the bones fuse after bimax, it wont be more likely to relapse then any other part as the bone is the same as anything else. But sure natural bone growth with age will recess people, mewing cant stop it

mikemewing every day nigga

So should I not get bimax then?

How can I approach this with the best outcome?

So should I not get bimax then?
I mean its not really relapse, its natural recession with age which will happen with bimax or not. I mean if you dont do bimax you will recess further back but if you do bimax you might recess back to your before bimax base in like 30 years

So, I should still do bimax?

I mean you will not achieve anything with mewing, so if you want to make a change you need bimax.

Of course I know the chances of mewing working are the same as me learning to fly
I just want to be careful, I have braces on in preparation for bimax and I don't want to have any doubts before the surgery

The risk of relapse will allways be there, esp for the condyles or for the muscles. Or simple because of bad placement of plates. But its not likely
