I Thought the Convo was over lmao sorry I don't have great communication skills. Ye man most punjabis are like jats. I never like researched about the history that much but now I will now.Where you going? I asked google.
Yes, Cheemas are a major sub-clan of the Jat people found in the Punjab region of India and Pakistan.
Clan Overview
- Identity: “Cheema... is a group of Jats in India and Pakistan who are known as warriors.”
- Region: They are traditionally located in the Punjab region (spanning West Punjab in Pakistan and East Punjab in India) as well as neighboring areas like Haryana and Rajasthan.
Brootal, we Punjabis are usually very social but we are the opposite.I Thought the Convo was over lmao sorry I don't have great communication skills. Ye man most punjabis are like jats. I never like researched about the history that much but now I will now.
Id say many pujubais aren't on forums aswBrootal, we Punjabis are usually very social but we are the opposite.
I get it, though, I was also not interested in my background until my early twenties.
Hey Bluey! You are likely an O or C BVLL.Hey gengar

I couldn't give an educated answer but R1bYes bhaijan. Which one are you voting for?
Ha yaar 6 ko uthna hota heiThis early? Sleep tight bhaijan. Allah hafiz!![]()
Haha. It’s what many Europeans have. They had an ancestor that carried the R1 haplogroup, and it eventually mutated and became R1b, and they in turn had more mutations, etc. A mutation occurs every few generations to one. R1b is a very basal haplogroup, and so is R1a. This is about R1b:I couldn't give an educated answer but R1b
Sounds like some shit from star trek.
there’s actually a south asian group called the tanoli (which are afghan descendants) that are rich in R1b surprisinglyMost South Asians have R1a as well, but under a different subclade than East Europeans.
I have heard of the Tanolis, but IIRC, they are considered native to northwestern South Asia instead of being related to Afghans.there’s actually a south asian group called the tanoli (which are afghan descendants) that are rich in R1b surprisingly
im pashtun myself but i was reading this subreddit of them being close to the yusufzais, also historically they descended from afghanistan then later migrated to pakistan and practiced hindkoI have heard of the Tanolis, but IIRC, they are considered native to northwestern South Asia instead of being related to Afghans.
- Indigenous Roots: Overall DNA profiling reveals that the Tanolis possess an ancient genetic base rooted firmly in the Indus Valley and Western Eurasia.
- Higher Local Components: Compared to their neighbors, Tanolis carry a higher percentage of ancestral South Asian indigenous genetic signatures. This means they are genetically native to the immediate Trans-Indus and Hazara regions rather than being recent foreign travelers.
Also, about their R1b, it says… “The definitive tribal marker for the Tanolis. It connects them genetically to isolated mountain populations of the Hindu Kush.”
also tanoli pashtun claim is very recentim pashtun myself but i was reading this subreddit of them being close to the yusufzais, also historically they descended from afghanistan then later migrated to pakistan and practiced hindko
also when i look at a tanoli i just think they are one of us, they culturally practice what pashtuns do and also some speak pashto themselves (one of my friends are tanoli and his family looks white)
like look at this tanoli right here, looks much different than the average south asian guy
but yeah no doubt they are definitely south asian but rather much more distinct than other south asians in general, like punjabis for example
I’d just assume they are a dardic group as most people say
Are you from Afghanistan or Pakistan? I assume the latter because you’re talking about Tanolis. I doubt someone from Kandahar would even be aware of the existence of Tanolis.im pashtun myself but i was reading this subreddit of them being close to the yusufzais, also historically they descended from afghanistan then later migrated to pakistan and practiced hindko

I just googled it. It did mention the Barlas Turk connection but it wouldn’t be possible considering their considerable SAHG ancestry. I think it’s similar to Punjabis (lower twenties %). Have you ever done a DNA test?also tanoli pashtun claim is very recent
people used to think they were turks (a barlas-turk leader claimed they were turks) but im pretty sure it was debunked idk
i’m a pakistani pashtun, my mom was friends with a tanoli and they later just came to america and i’ve been best friends with my moms mothers son. they lived in abbottabad. Are you from Afghanistan or Pakistan? I assume the latter because you’re talking about Tanolis. I doubt someone from Kandahar would even be aware of the existence of Tanolis.
I have never been to Hazara so I cannot talk about them, I’ve only read about them online. Is that an outlier for a Tanoli or do most of them look like that? I would probably mistake them for being Afghan if I were to see them in real life, but it could also be a case of cherry-picking.
What seems most logical to me is that they probably got Iranicized due to being in contact with their neighbors. Then again, you have Gujjars who are still very Indic. But also… Hindko is considered Indic as well. These classifications are based on language rather than genetics.
nah i’ve never done a dna test, i wanted to do one in this past month so if i do ill post about it on hereI just googled it. It did mention the Barlas Turk connection but it wouldn’t be possible considering their considerable SAHG ancestry. I think it’s similar to Punjabis (lower twenties %). Have you ever done a DNA test?
i meant moms “friends” soni’m a pakistani pashtun, my mom was friends with a tanoli and they later just came to america and i’ve been best friends with my moms mothers son. they lived in abbottabad.
i wouldn’t really say cherry-picking because basing off how my friends family looks and how much tanolis there are in the world (approx. 400,000) its hard to really assume they r indic looking.
i have more pics of random tanolis if you look here (found this on a subreddit)
id say half of them look indic and the other half look more indo-nordic, seems about fair since they are south asian at the end of the day.

I can see Turkic influences in their phenotypes, or at least in the dude on the right. I honestly feel like they’re cherry-picked because when I google them, I see this:i’m a pakistani pashtun, my mom was friends with a tanoli and they later just came to america and i’ve been best friends with my moms mothers son. they lived in abbottabad.

You should do a DNA test for sure. Check PMs.nah i’ve never done a dna test, i wanted to do one in this past month so if i do ill post about it on here
yeah most of them look punjabi when i search it up on tiktok nglI can see Turkic influences in their phenotypes, or at least in the dude on the right. I honestly feel like they’re cherry-picked because when I google them, I see this:

And they just look Punjabi to me. Perhaps the atypical-looking Tanoli have mixed with neighboring, non-Indic groups.
You should do a DNA test for sure. Check PMs.
Looks like they descend from a Proto-Indo-Iranian group, and their later descendants either became Indo-Aryans or Indo-Iranians. The Kamboh were originally Indo-Iranian but they mixed with South Asians and became Indo-Aryans.this is what i found of what tanolis claim they are in a hazara post
It makes sense they’re brown because just like other MENA groups, atypical individuals form a minority and not the majority like they want us to think.yeah most of them look punjabi when i search it up on tiktok ngl
but they could be mixed tanolis since they are in pakistan they could just be mixing with punjabis there since there’s a fuck lot of punjabis that live there, i dont know what a full tanoli looks like.
You won’t know unless you get tested. Take me for example, most South Asians have R1a, but I got something else instead.Which ever one I have is the one that mogs
Why so early?Ha yaar 6 ko uthna hota hei
I bumped it again.damn this thread is still alive
