In layman's terms, on a large enough scale--dozens and hundreds of generations on--your contribution to the gene pool will simply always be too small for it to even register. How a population carries forward… is a function of what said population currently is.
…and with exceptional people the catch--the single correct leading question--should always be, “what sort of background can enable this?”
