People in South Africa won't acknowledge JBW directly. If you imply that being with a white woman or man as a black would boost your status and people would respect up more because they would believe you are rich or something then people will call u racist or self hating or sum.

But subconsciously they are aware of the JBW. Examples are women wearing weaves.

I remember when I was younger my friends would always relax their hair and dye it blonde during school holidays. And I had 2 friends who were lightskin wear green eye contacts cause they thought (knew) that green eyes would boost their appeal. And this is when we were 13 yrs old

Also dating in this country isn't different to America (since we all consume western media) . Men n women hate each other.

Men post things like this to spite the woman and women also post similar stuff to spite the men.

Guys are also angry they have to pay a bride price for (not virgin) women. (it's part of bantu culture )
