What annoys me is how they think race is what unites us, instead of you know, actually being compatable and having shit in common with eachother. But in all honesty I don't think they believe that. There's no sense of solidarity between them and your average Redditor.

Race has to do with culture and heritage too, and a HUGE part of being compatible with someone else is having the same culture. Don't you see what's happening in places like Europe and Canada? Dark Muslims don't get along with the white Christians of Europe because of cultural differences. The Muslims in Europe are animalistic and practice many violent and extreme traditions that white Europeans find irritating as hell. Same with Indians in Canada. Completely different cultures tend to not live in harmony with one another. "Diversity" and "cultural enrichment" will be the demise of the west.

It's the family you're born into or the people you surround yourself with growing up. For example, let's say you're a brown person in the west. Chances are your parents or their parents weren't originally born here, meaning they grew up in a different place and adopted the cultures and norms of said place. When they migrated to the west, they brought those cultures and traditions with them, and passed them onto their children. Hence, they grow up to be just like their parents, grandparents, etc. Not saying all darker skinned people act like animals, but you can't deny that they're way different from white westerners culturally.

I can't think of a single melting pot city in the US (LA, SF, NY, etc.) where all the different races get along. That's part of the reason why those cities are so crime ridden and not the best places to live, to say the least.

Subconsciously, most people are at least a little racist when they see someone who has a different skin color than them. They start judging them and expect them to behave in accordance with their stereotypes. Even if they don't do anything wrong, they'd still prefer to be around their own kind because that's where they feel safe and where they feel the greatest sense of belonging.
