It's ironic because Indians are basically the niggers of Asia.

East Asians, SE Asians, Saudis, and Pakistanis all look down on them and see them as being a slight cut above Black Africans.

Indians have faced widespread discrimination all throughout Asia. Thailand even has whole venues that ban Indians from entering.
