Everyone’s knows that a tall ramus mogs short one, but many people overlook the importance of a projected ramus with good visibility.

A tall ramus will always be ideal, but if it’s buried under soft tissue and it doesn’t project well, it won’t really enhance your jawline. The visibility and projection matter just as much—if not more—than the height itself.

Take me as an example: I’ve got a medium-length ramus, but it’s buried under soft tissue. From certain angles, it looks like it’s not even there, making my ramus look short—even though my bone structure is fine. I’m around 14% body fat, so it’s probably not just neck fat causing this.

Here’s my ramus, “frauded” in good lighting, showing that it’s not my bone structure but the visibility and projection that’s lacking.

Versus unfrauded, when the lighting is bad or the angle is off, it’s barely visible at all, highlighting just how much the projection changes depending on the light and angle.

I obv know body fat plays a role in this but are there any other ways to improve ramus visibility? Like posture changes, neck training, or anything else that’s actually made a difference for someone?

i have a long ramus and cant see it most of the times, maybe i need some implants for more projecteness.

clear the shit behind your ears. There's a reason why the broccoli haircut works. Its because exposing your neck and ears increases ramus visibility. another thing is zygos. A high set zygos can create the illusion of a larger ramus. This works even better if you have smooth/glass skin which makes your zygos more prominent

Yeah, from what I’ve found, there could be a bunch of reasons why a long ramus still looks invisible. some are fixable without surgery gladly.

What you can try is betering your neck posture, getting your body fat to around 8-10%. And u can chew some gum so your masseter pops more out.

But if your ramus doesn’t have much lateral projection then your fucked then it’s not going to show. Same goes for a recessed gonial angle or soft tissue covering the bone. In those cases, you might need jaw implants, filler, or something like Kybella or submental lipo to get it visible.

For some people that cut will work but
I’m growing my hair out because that broccoli/fade look just doesn’t work with my face shape. No hair on the sides makes my face look even longer and more unbalanced. it’d just look like shit.

Also, I’m on Accutane right now so the skin’s improving. Once that clears up, I’ll probably get more benefit from contrast and lighting anyway. I’m not gonna buzz my sides and look worse just to chase a cope illusion.

strange logic. You think illusions/haircut are not worth your time but yet you haven't considered hardmaxxing. The reality is that nothing can truly compensate for a high gonial angle + short ramus.

If you still want to fix your posture or whatever. check out this channel. The fascia in your head can improve a few things
