Essentially you should use your fingertips, not the nails, to "scratch" your scalp and hair to clean it.

Use this massaging technique thoroughly (~5 minutes) to clean your scalp. The pressure should be hard but not hard enough to damage your hair.

Always cold or lukewarm water to clean your hair.

Comb your hair before you wash your hair if you have long or curly hair texture.

You can wet your hair before you comb it to prevent hair loss.

You can also apply conditioner to your hair before you apply shampoo when you brush it out, the conditioner will act as a lubricant to minimise hair loss.

After you clean your hair with shampoo, continue to fingertip wash your hair in the shower for 5 minutes in order to fully wash out the shampoo from your hair.

Use hair gel or leave-in moisturising conditioner to retain moisture in your scalp. From most products, you only need a small coin amount of product but this will depend on how long your hair is. Wash your hair every day to remove this, water should be enough to do this.

For all hair types leave-in Cantu moisturiser will work to moisturise your hair, This product doesn't just work for black hair.

If you have a flaky scalp it either means you have a fungal overgrowth (use nizoral or head and shoulders), you have an autoimmune disorder (diet can help to reduce symptoms) or the products in your hair products are fucking up your scalp (you need to change hair products).

Stay away from shampoos that have sulphates in them.

Washing your hair with shampoo can be done every other day if you have a naturally dry scalp.

natural remedies are a waste of time. Just swap hair products until you find the right hair products for you.

I have this natural conditioner I use in the shower but recently I've been using it after a shower, its like a bar conditioner type and i just apply tiny bit. Should I keep doing this or get a leave-in conditioner/moisturiser? I also began using hydraulic acid on my scalp when my hair is damp and its definitely helped with keeping hair hydrated
