I've been recently watching a lot of apologetics and whatnot as a sort of cope to see if I can substitute in some meaning for my worthless life. I like Christianity the most since it has the most appealing narrative, history, and doctrine to me, although I would still identify as agnostic.

I watch a lot of Christian vs Islam debates and whenever the Christian guys are doing well I feel good.

Obviously there are times they do pretty poorly and it makes me waver more strongly on my position on whether to pursue religion (although that's never been something I ever felt strongly about anyways).

However, Islam is just so ethnic and lame to me that even if after enough exposure I would somehow deem it to be the most logically sound religion within itself (which I doubt would happen), I would much rather be non religious than be Muslim.

It's so pajeet and basheer I could never do it. It's why I'm biased

I'm probably just gonna have to live the rest of my life having to cope with my inevitable demise and feeble life up to the point where death catches me and I'm powerless against it with no hope of any sort of experience after. :feelswhy: FML

You're just seeking to fulfill your miserable life and Christianity is the best for it since you can go more deep into it and have more perspectives about it rather than radical Islamic opinions.

If you're seeking to find a way to get rid of your nonsense life, you can become an Orthodox Christian to cope with your emptyness since the branch's ideology is based on our empty worldly lives.

Good luck.

For me, I can't trust and worship a God that gave us those miserable shitty lives. I rather pick someone else than him even though I believe that he exists.

Very true this is pretty much how I feel

I quite like a lot of aspects of orthodoxy but there's no church near me unfortunately. I'll probably visit a Catholic church, I like the idea of long standing tradition and history over newly formed doctrines.

Hm, that was never an issue with me. My take on it was always that humanity will be better once paradise comes than it was before the fall. And that all of our suffering will mean nothing once the kingdom of God comes. My hesitance just comes with the nature of religion and inherent skepticism of the supernatural. At the end of the day it's just mainly a cope for me. I'm rather pessimistic.
